Peer Review Process
All manuscripts submitted to the International Journal of Economic Growth and Development (IJEGD) undergo a rigorous, transparent, and academically grounded evaluation process designed to ensure the publication of high-quality scholarly research. Every submission is initially reviewed by the Editorial Team to verify compliance with the journal’s submission guidelines, publication ethics, formatting requirements, and alignment with the journal’s focus and scope.
Manuscripts that successfully pass the preliminary editorial screening are forwarded for formal peer review. IJEGD follows a double-blind peer-review system in which the identities of both authors and reviewers remain confidential throughout the review process. This method helps maintain fairness, impartiality, academic integrity, and objectivity in evaluating scholarly contributions.
Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent experts in the relevant field. Reviewers assess submissions based on several academic criteria, including:
-
Originality and scholarly contribution
-
Relevance to economics, development studies, and interdisciplinary research
-
Theoretical and conceptual depth
-
Methodological rigor and analytical quality
-
Clarity, coherence, and organization of arguments
-
Use of authentic and credible sources
-
Policy relevance and practical implications
-
Ethical research standards and academic integrity
Based on the reviewers’ reports and recommendations, the Editor may decide to:
-
Accept the manuscript without revisions
-
Accept with minor revisions
-
Request major revisions and resubmission
-
Reject the manuscript
Where revisions are required, reviewer comments and editorial suggestions are shared with the author to facilitate improvement of the manuscript. Revised submissions may be returned to reviewers for further evaluation when necessary. The final publication decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief based on reviewer feedback, editorial assessment, and the overall academic quality of the revised manuscript.
IJEGD is firmly committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and research integrity. All submitted manuscripts must be original and free from plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, or unethical research practices. The Editorial Team conducts similarity checks using Turnitin or equivalent plagiarism-detection software prior to publication. Manuscripts exceeding acceptable similarity thresholds may be returned for correction or rejected.
The scheduling and order of publication are determined by the Editor-in-Chief, considering factors such as the date of acceptance, thematic relevance, issue planning, and diversity of scholarly contributions.
